When I was in high school, my family lived on a hill overlooking a valley and river. One summer night between my junior and senior year an amazing sunset unfolded in front of me. I ran for my camera to capture the image and used a fence post for a tripod. The day I picked up the developed film (yes, film!) and looked at the photo I'd taken, I was changed forever. I realized that I could take a moment in time, and keep that moment. I haven't been without a camera since.
