Robert A. Metcalfe

I share my time between the arts and sciences. As a scientist I have researched glaciers in Switzerland, snowmelt processes in northern Manitoba, and now the impact of flow alteration on river ecosystems in Ontario. After putting down the scientic instruments I pull out the cameras, a scientificc curiosity giving way to an artistic appreciation of those same natural elements. As such my photography
focuses on natural landscapes, places where I have stood and been truly humbled and inspired. Inspired to contribute to the goal that these places will remain to evoke those same feelings in those that follow.
